Poverty puts children at risk. Children living in poverty are more likely to develop health problems, especially when proper nutrition and health care is not available. Social and emotional difficulties are increasingly more prevalent because single parents cannot provide the same level of emotional support as two parent families can.
Single mothers must do more for their families than just treading water in order to get through the struggles presented to them in life. These women must learn to swim through life and surf the rough waves to reach a stable shore.
Many opportunities are available to women in need, through the kindness of others. Tax deductible donations are gratefully accepted.
