London's Got Talent 2021 WINNER

Last year’s talent show winner is a talented Kaylee Durdle who has been singing since around the time she learned how to talk. Singing is a form of stress release for her as it had helped her overcome various life challenges. Kaylee likes to sing songs that are in the lower part of her vocal range. She also likes to sing songs with slower tempos to immerse herself in the music and its emotions. Kaylee loves animals and she has two dogs (named Ollie and Diesel) who mean the most to her. She also enjoys playing games such as darts, cribbage, and euchre.

Winners of S.M.A.R.T. Scholarship 2021

Victoria Fawcett-Bice

"Receiving the S.M.A.R.T. Scholarship eased some of the financial challenges of single motherhood and being a student. It is so much more than just money towards my education. This scholarship has granted me more time for studying and my child, as well as alleviated the stress of financial needs at this time. Thank you to all the donors who made this possible."

Tammy Beckner

"I am a 2nd year CYCP student at Lambton College of a three year program. After many years of putting my dreams on the back burner I decided to go back to school and pursue my dreams. I was beyond excited to learn I was selected to be the recipient of the S.M.A.R.T. Scholarship. I was in need of a new computer and stressed that I would not have enough to cover it and my bills too. Thanks to S.M.A.R.T I was able to buy a computer and pay some other bills. After I graduate I am hoping to work with CAS. I want to work with children and families within our reserves and community. Thank you for your foot print in my journey of success!"

Heather Peacock

"Being a single mom has definitely impacted my academic trajectory and slowed my progress, especially during COVID. Receiving this scholarship and being recognized for my hard work has given me a much needed boost in confidence and motivation to push through and complete my PhD. It’s wonderful to have this program that supports single mothers and their educational goals."
