My MOM, My HERO
This art contest is open to any artist between the ages 7-12 years old. There are 2 age divisions 7-9 years old and 10-12 years old. For each division there are three categories listed above.
This online art contest is for paintings, drawings and sculpture. Submissions can be done through email or in person at 4-296 Horton Street East London, Ontario.
Entries should have the following information:
- Name and age
- Contact info (email or phone)
- Category
ALL entries (not just winners) will be displayed on this website. Each entry becomes part of the public, historical online contest catalog and will not be removed at a later date.
Rules:
● No artworks will be accepted past the deadline. (Sept 1st, 2023)
● Make sure that your artwork is signed and that the signature is visible in the image you upload.
● We believe in respecting fellow artists and one another’s artworks – therefore, You may not criticize, make derogatory or otherwise inappropriate comments anywhere on our pages or in any other public forum about any other artist or in the Single Women In Motherhood drawing contest (or his/her works). Doing so will result in disqualification of your art from the contest.
● You may enter artworks that have won art contest awards in other shows.
● You may upload whatever image size you are comfortable sharing (We suggest a minimum of 600 pixels on the longest side so the judge has enough resolution to discern details)
● We will select a winner for each category and each age division.
● The criteria used to judge each category will vary. Overall, here are some of the criteria used in the judging process:
1. Interpretation and the clarity of the theme to the viewer.
2. Creativity and originality of the depicted theme.
3. Quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme
4. Last but not least, art that tells a story.
● Your artwork must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else’s copyrighted material (If your image infringes upon another’s copyright it will be disqualified)
● You may only submit your own artworks that you, personally created. (We reserve the right to demand proof that your original artwork was created solely by you. If it is not then your entry will be disqualified)
● Due to the ambiguous copyright status of AI Generated art (DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, etc), we do not allow you to enter AI Generated art.
● You will not have to provide the artwork physically, so you do not worry about having to ship it.
● The decision of the judge is final.
● By entering this art competition, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork (on our websites, newsletters, and social media accounts and those of our promotional partners, with credit and links to you, of course).
● By entering the competition, you agree to abide by all rules.
● Awards winners will be announced and listed on our website and social media pages following the contest.
